From Alan Wichman (September 2021)
Heron #2 was built in 1983 with the help of Peter Guilford as a birthday present for Maggie Guilford. Ross made a brass plaque for it and it was the first Customer/Production Heron MJ1/1 - however we also know it was prototype #2 and the third Heron body manufactured due to the mould defect in Heron body #2 when Ross was in the process of building Peters Heron. It was also Turbo charged with a draw through SU carb. It would easily scream to 145mph in 4th gear just had a habit of blowing head gaskets back in the day. I enjoyed every moment driving that Heron with a Turbo, but later removed it and went back to stock for economy and fewer tickets

My Wife and I are the second owners and it is in our garage waiting to be restored along with the others we have.
